Annual TelferWorld Charity Giving
Welcome to the TelferWorld annual charity giving site. This site is dedicated to the annual charity fundraising by the family of Charles "Ted" Telfer Miller.
Why did we start this?
We have a large family. Ted and Lois Miller had 6 children. These 6 children expanded the family by 14 more. Those 14 children expanded it with another 17 offspring among them. That doesn't include the spouses and partners -- so you can see this is quickly getting out of hand! We are still a close family so it always feels good to do something for the family during the Christmas season.
It started with a gift exchange where we put everyone's name in a hat and each person then was able to buy just one gift for a family member. It sure made it easier! But as time went by, the family grew and dispersed across the country making it an added challenge for the gift exchange. It came to a point where we were simply exchanging gift cards with one another. This seemed a little bit silly so we decided that it was time to make a difference. So now, instead of the $25 that we used to spend on a gift card, we donate to a charity. The charity usually has a special meaning to one or many of us.
This year we are raising funds for the National MS Society in honor of Gail Faulstich.
